Types of Diabetes
Diabetes has three types; each one has its own characteristics.
Diabetes type one:
This type of diabetes affects mostly children and young adults. Type one occurred when the pancreas stop producing insulin. This type represents five percent of the total number of diabetes diagnosed cases.
1- Age
The more the person gets older the greater chance he or she will develop type two diabetes. People who are 40 years old and older should be more aware than other age categories.
2- Weight
Obesity has been found one of the major causes of the type two diabetes.
3- Lack of physical activity
Without any kind of physical activity even a half hour of brisk walking daily the person might develop the type two diabetes in his or her early life.
4- Family history
The chance of getting the type two diabetes is greater when your parents or siblings have been diagnosed with type two diabetes.
5- Race
People who are blacks, American Indians, Asian American and Hispanics have a greater likelihood than other races of developing type two diabetes.
Risk factors:
There are no specific reasons for causing the type one diabetes. However, studies found out that there might be a relationship between autoimmune, genetic or environmental factors and developing type one diabetes.Diabetes type two:
This is the most common type of diabetes. This type accounts 90% of the entire number of diabetics around the world. A person can develop type two diabetes when his or her body is unable to use the insulin properly.Risk factors:

Gestational diabetes:
It is a type of diabetes that exists during pregnancy. it happens around the 24th week of pregnancy, and strikes nearly 18% of pregnancies. It commonly occurs among overweight pregnant women or a pregnant with a history of diabetes in her family.
